Respite care is funded in every state through the National Family Caregiver Support Program. One phone number connects you, and almost nobody hands caregivers the list.

You are burning vacation days and paying out of pocket for help that is already funded. Nobody gave you the number.
Since 2000 the National Family Caregiver Support Program has funded five things through every state. Information. Help getting to services. Counseling, support groups and training. Respite care. And limited supplemental services. Respite means somebody covers you so you can sleep, work, or breathe.
It runs through your local Area Agency on Aging, and one number connects you. The Eldercare Locator, 1-800-677-1116, open weekdays. Ask for the family caregiver support program in your county.
You are not failing. Nobody handed you the list. Drop BURNOUT in the comments and I will send the free two-minute caregiver triage.
